4 Ways To Maximize Your Coachella Experience

It’s Coachella season once again, and hundreds of thousands will be rushing to Indio, California for three weekends of music, parties, and fun. Need tips? Frameology put together this neat survival guide to get you through the weekend.

Also, here’s are some pointers for an excitement-filled, worry-free Coachella experience.

  1. Have Everything You Need In One Place

Each year, thousands of people lose their stuff at Coachella. To make sure you don’t end up as one of them, keep all your stuff in one place.

A backpack is a hassle-free way of staying organized. Choose one with many zippers so that you can pack all your essentials and arrange them so that each item stays in its proper place.

Here are some of the important things you should never forget:

  • Hydration – because this is the desert…duh
  • First Aid/Emergency Kit – in case anything unexpected happens
  • Sunscreen – because you want to get turnt, not burnt
  • Moisturizer and lip balm – because who wants to dance with dry skin
  • Alcohol (the rubbing kind) – to stay clean
  • Cash – because you’re an adult (or at least getting there)

Preparation is never the most glamorous thing, but it does protect you in case anything comes up. The last thing you want to do during a concert is double back because you forgot something…or worse, lost something. Stay prepared, but not over prepared. You want to have the essentials with you, not your whole house.

  1. Leave Heavy Stuff In The Locker Or At The Hotel

Picture yourself dancing while lugging around all your stuff. Fun? No? I thought so.

There are hundreds of locker areas surrounding the Coachella concert grounds, each locker capable of fitting one to two backpacks. If you’re with some friends, this is a great way to leave stuff you don’t need or stuff that might otherwise get lost.

However, you need to reserve quickly. With the influx of people attending the festival, the locker slots run out pretty quickly. Reserve ahead of time through websites like

Also, if you have any expensive stuff, you best leave it at your hotel or car. A good rule is not to bring stuff that you can’t afford to lose, especially if these are loose items such as jewelry or sunglasses.

Need sunglasses or an accent piece? Scout the area for some cheap yet stylish pieces. Leave the good stuff at home.

  1. Wear Comfortable Clothes

Coachella isn’t the place to be uptight and all haute couture. It’s a place to have fun, relax, and enjoy music.

While this is not to say you shouldn’t be stylish (in fact, Coachella is a great place to showcase personal style), you should never sacrifice comfort for style. After all you’ll be dancing and jumping for hours on end.

Stick to comfortable shoes and have some outerwear handy (it gets pretty cold at night). Also, bring a hat; the sun can get pretty harsh especially between 10AM and 2PM.

  1. Just Enjoy The Atmosphere (Don’t Worry Too Much)

Lastly, Coachella is a place to chill out and enjoy. The biggest perk of staying prepared is staying relaxed no matter what happens.

Instead of focusing on your stuff and whatnot, you can just lay back and take in all Coachella has to offer. Nothing should get in the way of your vibe.00-Frameology-Coachella-Infographic-Full-01 (1)
